44708. Directions are as follows:
From the North: Take I-77 south and get off on the Everhard Rd. exit.
Turn right onto Everhard Rd.
From the South: Take I-77 north and get off on the Everhard Rd. exit.

Once on Everhard Rd, you'll turn left at the first traffic light onto
Dressler Rd. As you travel south on Dressler Rd, it will become Woodlawn
in a residential area. A few miles down you will Turn Right onto Tioga
(first street past second st.) First left is Victoria and the first
drive on the Left is the House. (Corner of Tioga and Victoria)
Q: What does RAM expect from me?
A: Please be at our location by 4 pm. . If you have extra instruments
that you need to set up, please adjust your arrival time accordingly.
LET US KNOW IF THERE ARE ANY CHANGES IN PERSONEL OR EQUIPMENT
Release forms will need to be signed and dated prior to filming. If
you have not turned in your two signed releases, please turn them
in to when you arrive. We will not film you if we do not receive the
releases.
We would like you to perform three songs. These should be unplugged
acoustic versions. Please include some up-tempo songs in your mix
to keep the show/performance lively.
All songs MUST be original compositions or you MUST own the performance
rights to your song selections.
Please come prepared and ready to play.
You will have the opportunity to participate in the "final jam,"
a segment we show under the ending credits. This is intended as a
fun segment where you can trade licks or just play along with your
fellow musicians.
We would like you to tape a promo for the show. This consists of you
looking into the camera and saying "My name is (insert your name
here) and we're bringing music back to the people with Random Acts
of Music!" Memorizing this line now will score brownie points
with the RAM crew.
Q: What should I expect
from RAM?
A: We will provide microphones for both your voice and guitar, and
can mike simple setups like a second musician with backing vocals.
If you play keyboard, we will have the capability to mike it or plug
it in.
For your appearance, you will receive a DVD copy of the program after
it is edited into format.
Appearing on RAM will send your performance out into a market with
more than one million households in Northeast Ohio, including Cleveland,
Akron, Canton, Massillon, Alliance, and Salem.
Be prepared to have fun! We're an easy going bunch of folks, and we
want this to be a positive experience for you.
Q: What are some tips for
making things flow smoother?
A: You will have half an hour in which to shoot your songs and your
interview. Make sure you are practiced up as retakes consume time.
Once your time window is closed, it is closed, whether you have successfully
taped three songs or one.
Bands, due to size limitations; we can only accommodate two members.
Being acoustically oriented, drum kits are strongly discouraged but
Hand Percussion (congas, djembe, etc) are fine. Also keep in mind
that bringing in mixers and amplifiers increases the likelihood of
electrical problems, which will eat into the time we have scheduled
to film your appearance.
Thank you for appearing
on Random Acts of Music!
